We have a new team member - Jess!

Everyone say hello to Jess!

This month, a new member of staff has joined our team! We’ve caught up with her after her first week as Marketing and Communications Officer to see how she’s liking her new role and to introduce you to ‘Jess the second’ (because as you already know we have Jess the first).

So Jess, what’s your story?

I was born and raised in North Wales, in a town called Wrexham. I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a Marketing Management degree. I’m really into my health (although very partial to a gin and well, copious amounts of cheese… it’s all about the balance!) so I volunteered at a health and wellbeing company in Cheshire during my degree and then took control of all of their marketing activities during my placement year and after graduating. I’ve now relocated to Cardiff with my partner and am very excited to be starting my role at Staffroom Education. Even though my day to day duties are very similar to my previous role, it’s great to be developing my marketing skills in the recruitment industry.

How has your first week at Staffroom been?

It’s been great, it’s flown by! The team are all very easy to get along with and have all made me instantly feel at ease. I’m looking forward to learning more about how the company runs from day to day and all the things in between. Coming from a town, it’s great to be working in the capital of Wales and I love that we can see Cardiff Bay from the office… even though it hasn’t seemed to stop raining for more than an hour since I started!

What do you think you will bring to the company?

Hopefully, a fresh take on recruitment marketing and developing on the relatable and friendly personality Staffroom has digitally.  I’ll be trying to use loads of different types of content to keep our socials engaging but also making sure you all know what’s new with us in terms of our opportunities in schools and nurseries in the area. Not forgetting many, many ditsy blonde moments… it’s not my fault, the blonde life chose me!

So that’s Jess, keep an eye out on our social media pages soon for some great new content!
