SEN/PRU Teacher
Staffroom Education are currently shortlisting for a Teacher of Special Educational Needs for one of our schools in Swansea. We welcome applications from Teachers with understanding in special educational needs, pupil referral, units and inclusion centres.
You will need to have experience dealing with pupils that have behavioural difficulties. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have the ability to promote positive attitudes towards learning, as part of your role will be to support pupils transitioning back into mainstream education.

The perfect candidate for this post will have all the skills listed below;
A good understanding of special educational needs;
Training or experience with behavioural difficulties that will support you within this post;
Thorough classroom management and behaviour strategies;
Strong communicational skills;
Trained in Team Teach, MAPA or a similar qualification;
The passion for promoting positive attitudes towards learning and delivering excellent lessons;
Ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils;
To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role;
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection;
Attend off curricular and extra-curricular events in line with school policy;
Have a current and clear, fully-enhanced DBS disclosure certificate;
Full registration with the Education Workforce Council.
