The importance of loving your work

Do you know how many hours, on average, we spend working throughout our lives?

80,000.

That’s a lot of hours!

That’s why we think that it’s so important that you love the work that you’re doing. Of course, this isn’t to say that you won’t have off days, or that you’ll feel like you’re living the dream every single minute, but if the bad days are starting to outnumber the good, then you know it’s time for a change.

It’s important to think about what really matters to you when it comes to finding a job. Do you want to spend your days at work helping people? Is your work-life balance non-negotiable? Do you already know for definite what you want to do, or are you open to trying something new?

Schools are in need of staff more than ever at the moment, and September is already shaping up to be extremely busy, so if you think that working in a local school could be for you, then we’d love it if you gave it a go! You’d be making an impact on children’s lives everyday, and you’ll never be working evenings, weekends, or school holidays, giving you much needed time outside of work, you know, to enjoy life.

One of the many advantages of working in a school with Staffroom Education, is the flexibility that it affords you. For example, if you find that it’s not for you, you receive another job offer, or wake up one day and decide you want to move to Australia, then you are free to do so! The work is here for you as long as you want it, and as soon as you don’t, no problem. Likewise, if you just need a bit of a break before returning to work, then that’s an option too. You’ll also choose how little or often you’d like to work, whether that’s full-time, or just the odd day that you’re free.

Work shouldn’t be our entire lives, but given how much of our lives we do spend at work, it does matter that we’re enjoying it. So, if you’d like to try working in a local school on your terms, get in touch today!
