Teacher of Welsh
Staffroom Education Ltd are currently shortlisting for a Teacher of Welsh in Cardiff starting March 2019. If you are a qualified Welsh Language specialist and hold a QTS qualification, then we would love to hear from you. We would also encourage applications from any qualified teacher whose second subject is Welsh.
This as a full-time, ongoing position until July 2019 covering all Key Stages. It is within a vibrant 11-18 English medium Secondary school in Cardiff, which focuses on academic, cultural and sporting success. The person specification for this role recommends a determined and passionate subject Teacher with the ability to develop, encourage and inspire learning at their core.
The Teacher of Welsh role requirements are:
A first-class subject knowledge across all Key Stages;
Excellent communication and classroom management strategies;
A passion for raising student expectations and achievement;
The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils;
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection;
Attendance of curricular and extra-curricular events in line with school policy;
A current and clear, fully-enhanced DBS disclosure certificate;
Full registration with the Education Workforce Council.
