Learning Engagement Officer
Staffroom Education are looking for a Learning Engagement Officer for one of their secondary schools in Newport. This role will start immediately and will run on a full-time basis until the Easter break.
The Learning Engagement Officer will provide support, guidance, mentoring and training to individual and groups of learners. Working alongside the Learning Engagement Lead.
Responsibilities include;
Identifying which students are currently not engaging with in school learning and/or which haven’t engaged well with remote learning
Supporting Head of Year in identification of students who are currently vulnerable or at risk of becoming vulnerable if we move to remote learning
Ensuring all student in their year group/key stage are ready to access remote learning ahead of a lock down
Ensuring all students in their year group/key stage are accessing remote learning as and when this is needed
Identifying any students in their year group/key stage that are not engaging with remote learning and are supported with an action plan
Regularly communicate with parents about their child’s progress and engagement with remote learning
Work as a learning coach with specific groups of students in their year groups whilst we are not accessing distance learning
