School Administrator

Staffroom Education are looking for School Administrators to start work in secondary schools in Newport, Cardiff and Swansea. The roles will be part-time or full-time and will begin ASAP. Applicants must have experience working in a similar role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • Undertaking reception duties, answering general telephone and face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors

  • Assisting with student first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick students, liaising with parents/staff etc

  • Assisting with arrangements for school trips, events, etc

  • Providing general clerical/administrative support, e.g. photocopying, filing, completion of forms, respond to routine correspondence

  • Operating relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets)


Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience in clerical, administrative, or financial work

  • Ability to effectively use ICT packages, including spreadsheets

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to relate well to children and adults
