Marketing Manager
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our lively agency based in Cardiff Bay. The individual must be creative with an eye for detail – you will oversee the marketing and communication efforts for Staffroom Education. This is a full-time, permanent position and we welcome applications from individuals both with and without a specific Recruitment background, but request that all applications have marketing experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Marketing and Communication Duties: 80%
·Social Media Marketing:
Content creation and platform maintenance, adopting both a proactive and reactive approach ensuring relevant information is relayed in an engaging and informative way, along with keeping up to date with the latest social media trends and relevant topics of conversation.
Responding to Facebook job applications and other direct messages across all platforms.
Updating and maintaining Staffroom Educations website including:
Producing engaging copy through blogposts, uploading, and editing current vacancies, responding to website queries, aesthetic edits, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Video Marketing:
Planning, directing, filming, and editing up to date video content to further promote work opportunities of Staffroom Education.
Job Advertisements:
Ensuring all job ads are updated on all platforms regularly (University Job Boards, Online Job Boards, Facebook Jobs etc)
Developing Partnerships:
Meeting with local community groups, universities and employment advisors and developing relationships to work together to provide work opportunities to job seekers.
Email Marketing:
Collecting newly registered candidates’ emails and sending important updates and engaging newsletters to the distribution list using Mail Chimp.
Recruitment Strategy Support:
Supporting each member of the team with new and innovative ideas to further promote work opportunities.
Presentations/Job Fairs:
Visiting local colleges, universities, and community groups to deliver informational presentations.
Attending local job fairs, university career fairs and events to promote Staffroom’s work opportunities.
Candidate Attraction Duties: 10%
CV sourcing via our online job-board partners and social media platforms.
Assessing suitability by conducting telephone screening interviews with potential candidates.
General Administration Duties: 10%
Inputting and updating of Candidate / Client information on company systems.
Attention to detail regarding personal and sensitive information.
Handling of both inbound and outbound calls where required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
First-class verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience within a marketing/communications role.
A general positive outlook and sense of humour.
A professional and ethical attitude and work ethic.
The autonomy to get stuck into your role without micromanagement.
Any food-related abilities or activities are a bonus (brownies specifically!)
Essential candidate attributes for this role:
In depth knowledge of using Staffroom’s social media profiles: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Ability to use online design platforms; Canva.
Understanding of web building platforms, Squarespace.
Office/Google Package knowledge.
Planning, Organisation and Adaptive Skills.
Ability to work within a team and independently.
Full UK Driving Licence.
