Our Newest Recruit
We’re pleased to introduce our newest Recruit, Hannah Tuck, who has filled the role of Media and Communications Assistant.
So Hannah, where are you from?
I’m from Wilmslow in Cheshire, although I’ve lived in Wales for four years now, so I definitely feel like this is my home. It’s great to be able to introduce some of my northern behaviour into the Staffroom headquarters, whether the rest of the office agree is another matter!
Tell us about your university course?
I attended Cardiff University, where I successfully gained a degree in Journalism, Film, Media and Cultural studies. The experience was absolutely fantastic and after finally landing myself a job in a career that I wish to pursue, it’s really good to be able to stay that hard work does pay off.
How has your first week at Staffroom been?
My first week has gone really quickly, which is a good sign. This is my first office-based, 9-5 job, so to begin with I was pretty content with just getting to know Ajaz and Mike, and learning about how the recruitment company operates! Of course, I was actually given proper duties. I took complete control of all social networking sites, and already feel I’ve put my own stamp on things at Staffroom. It’s great to feel at ease within such a short period of time.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge?
Keeping up with new and developing trends in this particular area of work. Social media changes on a daily bases with new apps and platforms being created every day. There are the popular ones such as Twitter and Facebook, that people use and recognise on a daily basis, however applications such as Instagram and Vine are still new and ever changing, which means I’ve always got to do my homework!
What do you think will you bring to the company?
Dedication, the drive to succeed and fresh new ideas. I’ve always been appreciative of what every organization I have worked for has done for me, as well as what I can do for them. With social networking being a popular element in businesses today, I’m definitely excited to incorporate my own ideas whilst Staffroom grows.
