Say Hello To Jess...

New school year, new team member. We would like to introduce Jess Sibley, our new Manager of the Teaching Assistant and Additional Learning Needs desk here at Staffroom. Jess joined our busy team this September and extensive experience from previous roles plus ten years in the industry mean that she is an absolutely perfect addition to the team. We're super chuffed that she's accepted the job offer and can't wait to see what the next year brings...

Do you feel that you’ve settled in well to the Staffroom team?

Yes I have settled in extremely well here at Staffroom, the team have been amazing and have provided me with so much support. After having a year off on maternity leave I thought

I would feel really nervous; not only starting a new job but also setting up the Teaching Assistant and Additional Learning Needs Desk job but it is the complete opposite. The team at Staffroom have gone out of their way to

make feel welcome and have helped me every step of the way in setting up this brand new desk. If I need help all I have to do is ask and they are there straight away. After  all it is about teamwork and that is why Staffroom work so well together. We all help each other.

What do you think you will bring to the company?

With my experience of education recruitment I hope to bring added success to the company. I am extremely excited to have been given this fantastic opportunity. It has been a passion of mine working within the Education Recruitment sector and I am keen to develop relationships with schools and help cover any staffing requirements that they may have.  I make sure that I go the extra mile to make sure that my clients and candidates are kept satisfied at all times.

What do you love about this industry?

I absolutely love meeting new people and being able to help them find a job in what they specialise in. It gives me great satisfaction knowing that I have placed candidates withi

n a job that they enjoy. I also enjoy building relationships with clients and finding out what their needs of the school are when thinking about what sort of candidate I am going to place with them.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge will be the recruitment of new candidates, as this is a brand new desk we have to make sure that we recruit the right candidates with the correct skill set. Once the candidates are registered then I will be able to place them within local schools in their area.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be?

Olly Murs- Anyone that knows me knows how much I would love to meet him!

What keeps you busy outside of the office?

My 14 Month old little girl keeps me busy outside the office, constantly running around after her, but I would not have it any other way.

And finally (we always keep the most important question until last) what is the most embarrassing song that you know all of the words to?

Spice Girls- Wannabe!!!!
