A WONDERFUL WORLD RECORD

Have you ever been involved in a World Record attempt? No? Neither had we until this week.

When St Joseph's school in Newport called and invited us along to a very special event, it was safe to say we were excited. It's not every day you get the chance to say you've watched someone throw out over 300 bridal hairstyles in 300 minutes (without even batting an eyelid!) so it's a new one to tick off the bucket list.

We arrived at the makeshift hair salon to be greeted by an array of cakes, face painting, celebrity singers and of course the amazing woman herself! Jenna Mcdonnell decided she would take on the challenge to raise funds for a very special cause; Ieuan the Lion Memorial Fund. This wonderful charity was established in 2009 in the memory of a young boy, who after a heroic fight sadly died on 3rd July 2007 at the tender age of 13 from an undiagnosed illness. All proceeds go to purchasing holiday homes that allow Ieuan's loved ones to grant free holidays to families who are caring for a child/young person with a life-limiting condition, so please continue to donate here.

A huge congratulations to Jenna for now being a 2016 World Record holder and an inspiration to so many. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day AND for giving me a fantastic, fancy up do!
