Give a warm welcome to our newest member Steph
Our Staffroom family has grown again and we are now a strong team of 7 (including our Staffroom dog Bella).
Stephanie has joined us from Aberystwyth to lead our very own Welsh consultant desk. So I thought it would be a perfect time to ask her a few questions for you to get to know our newest member 😊.
Can you tell us a little bit about you?
I recently graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2018 with a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies. I’ve worked in Education Recruitment for the past year (and loving every second!) I moved back to Cardiff recently and joined Staffroom, and I’m also getting married next year!
So how has your first few weeks been at Staffroom?
Really good! I’ve been learning so much over the past few weeks, I’ve really enjoyed it!
What have you enjoyed most so far?
I’ve really enjoyed going out and visiting our schools. They’ve all been so lovely! I’ve also really loved speaking with our candidates and just getting to know them.
What do you get up to when you’re not at work?
I’m a massive bookworm. So, whenever I get the chance to cuddle up on my sofa with a fluffy blanket and a new book, I grab it with both hands!
What do you think will be your biggest challenge?
I think my biggest challenge will be just getting used to the Staffroom way. Every company is so different, and I am a “do” person I get frustrated with myself when I can’t do someone right first time! But I’m glad I’ve come to such a supportive and fun team as Staffroom.
Tell us an unusual fact about yourself?
I was once on an episode of This Morning as one of the Seven Swans…don’t ask.
Lastly as we love anything food related here in the office, what would be your perfect meal?
One of my favourites is a Sunday Dinner. Extra Yorkshires!
Many of you have already spoken to Steph and if not you'll get to catch up with her in the next few weeks.
If you are a welsh speaker and looking to work within education you can call us on 02920 496 646 and just ask for Steph who will be able to answer all your questions.
